Computer Business and Technology, fein multimaster blades
The multi tool can be defined in its simplest form as a simple pocket knife. This is a one or two blade tool that will fit in your pocket. As technology has evolved and improved and the needs have changed, so have the functions and designs of the pocket knife. The multi tool now comes equipped with numerous implements and blades. The uses of the multi tool are endless and include wire crimpers, pliers, scissors, and tweezers. When you decide which one to buy, you should consider how many tools you really need, its overall quality, and the price.
The cost of a brand name multi tool is considerable more than that of a generic brand. However, they will frequently have superior quality and a better warranty that will give you years of use. The Leatherman brand of multi tool was one of the first in the line and is a recognizable brand among. They offer numerous models that range in price from the low $20s to over $100.
These multi tools are made from stainless steel, come with either a leather holder or a cloth and usually offer over 20 tools in each multi tool. In the $20 range the Leatherman tool has a Phillips head screwdriver, tweezers, nail file, and a bottle opener. Another Leatherman that sells for about $60 has tool for safety, locking blades, a hybrid knife, two Phillips head screwdrivers, tweezers, and pliers.
Gerber makes a line of multi tools that are similar to the Leatherman that also has a lot of useful gear. The Gerber multi tool that cost in the $50 to $60 range comes with needle nose pliers, 3 flat blade screwdrivers, bottle opener, can opener, and a serrated knife. The multi tool features a nylon cover that is in included in order to keep dirt away and a lock for a safety feature. This item is 5 “long, weighs just over 8 ounces, and is made of stainless steel.
If you find that the more expensive multi tool is more then you need, there are some multi tools that are less expensive and more basic. For less than $10 you can get a multi too from Tool Basic that has 14 tools including a serrated knife and blades, pliers, basic screwdrivers, and needle nose pliers. Also for about $10 Mintcraft offers multi tool that weighs 12.2 ounces and comes in its own pouch. When Google’s group think about their company’s future one would have to believe that they feel quite good about things. The Android platform for their smart phone is doing outstanding. If one does not want to go that far than one still has to admit that things are a lot better than they were 2 years ago for Android when it was released. At that time, Android was only supported by one phone and there weren’t a lot of applications that were available to be run on it.
During the presentation there were some rather impressive figures that we being touted.
* 100,000 new activations of an Android device every day
* 50,000 new acquisitions with the Android Market ever day
The Google team also demoed the new version of the Android software. Many are arguing that this is a major breakout for Android and a larger technological leap that there mere version number of 2.2 indicates.
Some of the more exciting breakthroughs that are to be found within the Android 2.2 version update are:
* Increased, faster performance
* Flash support – While it’s true that Adobe Flash can sometimes be stupid and seem somewhat evil but sometimes you just have to watch a video or use some type of an interactive widget
* Backup’s automatically
Perhaps the only complaint that many will have is the wait as many of the cell phone service providers/manufactures are not getting the upgrade right away. For example, HTC has noted that only those cell phones shipped in the second half of 2010 will be getting Froyo. All of the others will be running the existing Adroid software.
Froyo offers far greater battery life and this should have been one of the features that was advertised.
Down the hall from the keynote address was a glass case filled with cell phones and tablet computers which all run the Android software. An impressive demonstration of just how far and quickly the Android software has come. One could view the current hardware and was also given a glimpse into the future from countries/areas such as:
* Sony
* Samsung
* LG
* HTC
* Motorola
From viewing the line up one could confidently conclude that the if there isn’t a phone to match your size and shape criteria now there soon will be – even if the hardware is not as elegant as that of the iPhones…
Perhaps with the given line up, people will finally stop asking about the Verizon iPhone.

Computer Business and Technology, electrical, energy, environment, expense, home, Utility
These days everyone is trying to lower their utility bills and save money any way they can. Here are some things you can do to reduce the cost of electricity in your home.
Some small, but obvious, power savings are change your light bulbs to the new compact fluorescent bulbs, these use much less power than those with the old fashioned tungsten filaments. Most digital devices, like your video players for CDs and DVDs have digital read outs that still use electricity even when the power is turned off. Even your rechargeable units for cell phones and digital cameras draw current if they are still plugged into the power source. Keep them unplugged until you need them to recharge something. Low Flow shower heads help not only lower electric bills, but also lower your water bill. And, planting shade trees around your house in such a way that they are close enough to provide shade without being so close the roots damage your foundation are an excellent way to lower your use of electricity.
Here are some more money savers you can do starting with getting rid of old appliances and replacing them with new energy efficient models, and waiting to run the dishwasher until you have a full load of them to do. It will also save you money on your water bill. Set your freezer and refrigerator to lower settings, while making sure they are still cold enough to keep your food from spoiling.
Use cold water in your washing machine, or at least stop using the hot water setting. Even lower it to the “Warm” setting can save a lot of money each month, and using cold water detergents will get your clothes just as clean as if you used hot water.
Invest in a water heater cover. You can get them at your favorite home improvement store. Then set it to 120 degrees Fahrenheit (48.9 C), instead of the factory setting of 140 degrees Fahrenheit (60C).
Central heat and air conditioning units are a huge drain on your electric bill each month. By simply keeping them set to 68 degrees F (20C) in the winter, and 78 degrees F (25.6C) during the summer, you can save an enormous amount of money. Just keeping the filters cleaned regularly helps, too. In addition, you need to have the unit serviced each year to maintain proper gases, and clean them of debris so they will operate efficiently.
You need to determine how well your home is insulated, and do whatever you can to increase its rating. Check in your crawl space, and above the ceiling, even your walls can be leaking heat and air conditioning. Replace or add the latest improvement in insulation materials, and be sure to weather strip around all doors and windows. Use double-glazed windows with argon gas and ensure that they fit tightly in the window sill. Weather strip around all doors, too.
Without spending a whole lot of money to change things, you can do just a few simple things along with changing your usual habits that can reduce the cost of electricity in your home.
Do you desire to Reduce the cost of utility bills and Lower the electrical bill right now? Yes! Then solar power is the route to take. Need to know more? We have all of the knowledge for you.
